Despite years of unimaginable pain and various health issues, Mary Joyce
managed to live at the home on the family Stable in Bloomfield, NY until
this past April when her final battle began. Her journey is a truly
remarkable one of love, strength and a desire to live. She “defied the
odds” many times over the course of her illness, a testament to her
strength and vibrant personality and never losing her sense of style,
humor or dignity. A “go getter” Mary Joyce was involved in garden, art,
woman’s and historical societies, as well as being a long time youth
leader of the Finger Lakes Arabian Horse Association.
If anyone would like to honor Mary Joyce’s memory donate to your
favorite charity, help a child, be kind to animals, be a good friend,
and live life to its fullest.
A special thank you to the staff on 4 West of Highland Hospital. Thank
you to St. Anne’s Home and the staff on the 6th floor for the compassion
that was shown.
Arrangements are being held privately by the family.
